DICKSON CITY, Pa.– A Pennsylvania female said she was stunned after PetSmart informed them that their cherished family pet had been killed by another canine.

“We dropped him off to obtain groomed, and we get a call that he’s dead, “stated Betty Miller, of Scranton.Last Wednesday

, she dropped off her 12-year-old bichon named Brewster at PetSmart in Dickson City to obtain groomed. Soon thereafter, she got a call from a veterinarian saying that Brewster had actually died after being assaulted by another pet dog in the grooming hair salon.

“He was loving,” Miller stated of Brewster. “He was mild. He was amusing. He resembled a toy, and he liked everybody.”

Following the incident at PetSmart, the Millers’ dog was taken instantly to the Veterinary Recommendation and Emergency Center in South Abington Township, where Brewster was noticable dead on arrival.In a statement to

WNEP, the clinic said that “resuscitation efforts were administered, however proved to be not successful.”Miller says she’s unhappy with how

PetSmart corporate has handled the problem and believes there could be more safety protocols put in place to prevent comparable catastrophes. “We called corporate,”Miller said.”They did not connect to

us, and I was very upset about that. Why would you wish to bring a pit bull past a small pet who’s actually just bait? He was bait. “Following the freak event, Miller she’s haunted by some of her last

memories of Brewster. “I felt so guilty the day it took place because we would state to him,’You want to go bye-bye?

‘and he ‘d hop because automobile, and he didn’t understand it was going to be his last trip. It was hard, really, very hard. He’s been with us for 12 years. He was simply a great dog.”PetSmart’s entire statement concerning the occurrence is
