A Preston pet shop has made a genuine dog’s supper from its fund-raising drive.Staff at Pets

Throughout December, clients shopping in more than 440 Family pets At Home shops including were encouraged to donate 50p to assist provide a Christmas supper for family pets investing Christmas in a rescue centre.

The yearly Santa Paws fund-raising appeal set out to raise sufficient loan to money a record-breaking 2.4 m Christmas dinners for deserted animals over the holidays, and successfully surpassed this target reaching nearly 3m dinners.

Assistance Adoption For Pets fund-raising manager, Amy Wilson said: “It’s remarkable to see that so numerous people had the ability to come together and make Christmas unique by donating a dinner for those family pets without a caring forever home.

“We would like to thank the locals of Preston who made a donation. Their aid has brought Christmas cheer and love into the lives of animals who require it most.”

Assistance Adoption For Family pets is a charity developed by Animals in the house in 2006.

Every year it helps more than 1,000 rehoming centres and family pet rescue organisations across the UK through grant financing and support. In addition to its fund-raising work, it also runs dedicated adoption centres in over 440 Family pets at House shops.
